Welcome to our Magical Family!

Hello wizards, witches and muggles!
Today, we are going to talk about the news that took over the world: the Harry Potter TV show has been unveiled—well, at least part of it!
So as you all may know, Harry Potter is soon going to board the Hogwarts Express for a new TV series, with each book/movie going to be one season. And despite auditioning more than 32,000 children, HBO still hasn’t decided who is going to be the new Harry Potter. However, other roles have already been decided, which are:
John Lithgow - Headmaster Albus Dumbledore
Papa Essiedu - Professor Severus Snape
Janet Mcteer - Professor Minerva Mcgonagall
Nick Frost - the Beloved Rubeus Hagrid
Paul Whitehouse - Argus Filch
Luke Thallon - Professor Quirrell
At the helm of the series is going to be Francesca Gardiner as the showrunner and executive producer, with Mark Mylod set to direct several episodes as well as executive produce.
So, what do you guys think of the cast for now? Do you agree? What is your dream cast? Tell us all about it by replying to this email!
Fanfic Faves 🌟
For our first publication, we’d like to talk about three of our favorite fanfictions, each one about a different pairing.
So, for all the Dramione shippers out there (myself included!) this week our favorite fanfic is:
Aurelian by BittyBlueEyes - Two years after the war, a young stranger pays a visit to the Burrow. His arrival alone is baffling, but the news he brings of an upcoming war turns the world upside down. Hermione’s quiet, post-war life will never be the same-
Tropes: Post-war, adventure, parent Draco Malfoy, Time-travel, Action/Adventure, Kid fic, HEA, Romance, Drama.
Available on AO3 and fanfiction.net
Now, for the Drary fans, this weeek’s favorite is:
Running on Air by eleventy - Draco Malfoy has been missing for three years. Harry is assigned the cold case and finds himself slowly falling in love with the memory he collects.
Tropes: Mystery, Drama, Friendship, Slow Burn, Romance
Available on AO3
And finally, this one is for the Pansville fans:
The Perks of Casting a Patronus by FedonCiadale - It’s three years after the second wizarding war. Pansy Parkinson and Neville Longbottom both work for the DLME. Pansy’s mother wants her to marry well, but she wants to do the job she likes. Neville is in a relationship with Hannah Abbot. There is no way that a Slytherin and Gryffindor might get along, or is there?
This fanfic is part of a Dramione fanfic series, and can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading the series, it’s really good.
Tropes: Post-war, Slow-burn, two idiots in love, Angst with a happy ending, co-workers, HEA, Enemies to lovers.
Available on AO3

What do you guys recommend I read next? Tell us by replying to this email!

The Weekly Pensieve 🤯
For this week’s pensive, we bring a a curiosity that may not know about the making of the Harry Potter movies:
Aragog’s body was a fully animatronic puppet that cost over £100,000 to build — and it took over 15 people to operate him! But here’s the real kicker: during filming for Chamber of Secrets, the crew had to work around the fact that the puppet smelled absolutely awful. Because of the materials used and the heat of the set, the inner workings gave off a strong, rotting stench. Cast and crew had to hold their breath while filming scenes with him!
Did you know this? If so, well, I bow down to you, you are true POTTERHEAD!
Quiz of the week 🧐
This week, we are going to give a super hard question, that even the hardcore potterheads have trouble with:
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, when Dumbledore takes Harry to retrieve the locket Horcrux, they must cross a lake filled with Inferi. Before drinking the potion in the basin, Dumbledore says a spell to check for enchantments. What is the exact incantation he uses?
Please reply to this email with your answer! And I will tell you if it is right or not.
✨ However, don’t fly off just yet!
