More Magical News You Won't Believe?!

Hello wizards, witches and muggles!

I’m going to talk about an issue that comes up all the time: many people have asked, “Isn’t Harry Potter for kids?” (thank you very much, Miriam Margolyes 😤) and “should you still be reading Harry Potter?”. Well, newsflash to those people, I don’t care what they think! Alright, that’s not true either, and while I’d like that, I’m only human, and while I wish to be a witch, what other people think sometimes affects me as well, and that’s ok! (YOU HEAR ME! IT’S OK!!). And , so, to those death eaters out there, let me tell you something: Harry Potter is a masterpiece, meant to be enjoyed by everyone from every age possible!

The series is packed with more than childhood fantasies, it’s filled with deep themes, intricate world-building, and life lessons that resonate even more as adults. And while the first book/movies is filled with a more simple whimsical adventure, as the series progresses, you start to realize the emotional weight, the high stakes dilemmas, the parallels to real world issues and more, that make you realize that Harry Potter is more than just a simple childish fantasy book.

You can read more about it in our magical blog: Why You Should Read Harry Potter as an Adult Right Now in 2025!

Fanfic Faves 🌟

This week our favorite fanfics are going to be centered around one of our favorite ships: DRAMIONE!

  • Luna Vinculum by MaryBMeunier - During the battle of Hogwarts, the night of a full moon, Draco Malfoy is bitten by a werewolf. With no way to escape the curse, all he can do is hide it. Hermione Granger is the only one- aside from his attacker- who knows the truth. And it’s only because she was with him when it happened. When they return to Hogwarts for their 8th year, however, that is not the only secret they are forced to share. Because ever since he was bitten, Draco has grappled with an intense and disconcerting need to be around the Gryffindor Witch. Neither of them like that, which leaves Draco constantly struggling to rein in all of the possessive and protective instincts that assault him when it comes to Hermione. Will she aid him in hiding the curse? Will they uncover the truth about Draco’s obsession? In the meantime, will they fall deeply and irreversibly in love?

The Weekly Pensieve 🤯

For this week’s pensive, we bring a curiosity that you may not know about that happen during the making of the Harry Potter movies:

Daniel Radcliffe went through over 160 pairs of glasses and 80 wands during filming across the series. But here’s the really wild part: he had a habit of drumming with the wands between takes, and he broke so many that the props team literally started giving him “stunt wands” made of rubber just to minimize the damage.

Quiz of the week 🧐

This week, we are going to give a super hard question, that even the hardcore potterheads have trouble with:

In the original British editions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, what is the vault number at Gringotts that the Philosopher’s Stone is kept in before Hagrid removes it?

Please reply to this email with your answer! And I will tell you if it is right or not.

✨ However, don’t go just yet!
